Earlier today the Taisei Gym held a press conference to announce there next show, which will take place on May 5th at the Bunka Center, in Sanda, Hyogo.
The main event of the card will see former world title challengers facing off with youngster Riku Kano (11-2-1, 6) [加納 陸] battling Filipino foe Jerry Tomogdan (22-8-4, 10) in a bout for the WBO Asia Pacific Minimumweight title, with the two essentially fighting for a second world title shot.
The baby faced Kano will be fighting for the second time since suffering a loss in a WBO world title bout against Katsunari Takayama last August. Although this is his second bout his first one was against a very limited foe and this will be his first real bout since that loss.
For Tomogdan his results have been very up and down recently, going 4-3-2 (1) in his last 9 bouts. Those results have included a stoppage loss to Wanheng Menayothin back in 2015, and a decision loss to Pedro Guevara and two draws against Crison Omayao.
Also announced for the card are Futa Akizuki (8-0, 7) [秋月 楓大], who hasn't had his opponent for the show announced, and Rikito Hattori (7-1, 2) [服部 力斗], who will take on Takayuki Teraji (7-12-1, 4) [寺次 孝有希].
