Earlier today Japanese fans got an announcement regarding two title bouts on December 14th.
On paper the more attractive of those bouts will see the unbeaten JBC Super Featherweight champion Rikki Naito (13-0, 5) defend his belt against destructive countryman Kenichi Ogawa (16-1, 14).
For Naito this will be the 4th defense of his title, a title that he won back back in February 2014 with an 8th round TKO over Hiroyasu Matsuzaki. The youngster, who is tipped by many as one of Japan's best prospects, is however likely to be given a real chin check here against Ogawa.
For Ogawa this is his first title bout and sees him attempting to extend his 8 fight T/KO run, which has seen him avenge his sole loss and stop the then world ranked Deivi Julio Bassa. Whilst he's in great form this is, by far, the most significant bout of his career so far.
The other title bout announce will see two for Naito foes face off as Masayuki Ito (17-1-1, 8) defends the OPBF title against Shingo Eto (17-3-1, 9), though we'll be doing a more significant report on that one shortly.
