On March 2nd we'll see "World Boxing Premium The Real: Vol 25", with the card being headlined by WBC Bantamweight champion Shinsuke Yamanaka (26-0-2, 18) [山中慎介] defending his title against Mexican challenger Carlos Carlson (22-1, 13), with Yamanaka hunting the 1th defense of the belt.
Earlier this week the poster for the show was finally revealed, and unsurprisingly the focus was on "God's Left" with the champion being the big focal point of the poster. Although opponent Carlson is also included he does appear to have been a secondary note to the champion.
Although the WBC title fight is the main event it's not the only bout of note on the show, in fact the chief support bout will be a Japanese Super Featherweight title bout, with Kenichi Ogawa (20-1, 16) [尾川 堅一] defending his title to mandatory challenger Satoru Sugita (12-3-4, 7) [杉田 聖]. Whilst Ogawa is pictured on the poster Sugita isn't on there at all, in a bit of a peculiar move if we're beign honest.
Other fighters featured on the poster are former world champion Brian Viloria (36-5-0-2, 22) and IBF Super Bantamweight mandatory title challenger Ryosuke Iwasa (22-2, 14) [岩佐 亮佑], who are both featured in small inset pictures. At the moment neither man has had their opponent for the show named, though Celes has confirmed that Iwasa is expecting to fight in a 10 rounder.
Sadly those expecting to see teenager Jesse Rodriguez (0-0) make his debut on this card will be disappointed, with the youngster now making his debut in Mexico City, and that will take place on March 4th.
