Although odds for Denis Lebedev's (25-2, 19) rematch with Guillermo Jones (39-3-2, 31) have been available for the past few day's we've decided to leave our look at them until after the weigh in to see if any major changes have been made as a result.
Before looking at the odds we thought this was going to be a 50-50 match up, the odds makers however disagree. The best price on Lebedev is 1/2 with the Russian priced as low as 4/11. Jones is a well priced underdog with the best odds of 2/1 shilst some bookies view him as a 7/4 shot.
Method of Victory:
The favoured outcome is with Lebedev winning a decision, this is priced at 2/1. The decision win for Lebedev is priced marginally better than the odds for Lebedev by stoppage which are around 11/5.
As for Jones his favoured outcome is by stoppage at 3/1 whilst Jones by decision is a huge 7/1 with many viewing the bout as one he simply cannot win via decision.
Grouped round betting:
In terms of the group round better Lebedev to score a KO in the second half of the fight is 11/4 and is only beaten by Lebedev via decision. For Jones the favoured group of rounds also the final 6 with odds of 4/1
Although we're not certain we can't help but think that the weigh in has seen some fans swing towards Lebedev, for us though it's very much a 50-50 bout.
