Earlier today Japanese fighter Nana Yoshikawa (6-1, 4) [好川 菜々] held a press conference in in Osaka to announce her next bout.
That bout will see the once beaten 38 year old return to the ring on October 10th at the Sangyo Shinko Center in Sakai, Osaka, to face off against unbeaten former WBO female Light Flyweight champion Eun Hye Lee (8-0, 3) [이은혜]. The bout will see the two fighters battling for the vacant WBO female Flyweight.
For Yoshikawa the bout will be her second world title bout, following a loss last year to Anabel Ortiz in a WBA female Minimumweight title fight. It will see her fighting at her natural weight and should see her putting on a much better performance than the bout with Ortiz.
For Lee the bout is a chance to become a 2-weight champion. The Korean won her previous title at 108lbs before vacating to move up in weight, vacating a title that was recently won by Louisa Hawton in Japan. For Lee the bout will be her first outside of Korea. For those who haven't seen Lee we have included her title winning bout below.
If Yoshikawa loses here than that'll likely be the end of her career whilst a win for her will likely open a lot of doors to big fights in 2017.
