At times it seems like the Asian boxing world only really focuses on fighters form Japan, Thailand and the Philippines. There are however a number of other fighters who are out there representing Asia who don't from these three traditional bases of boxing.
On such fighter is Mongolian star Tugstsogt Nyambayar (4-0, 4) who continued his impress run on Thursday in the US when he made light work of Mexican Pedro Melo (13-12-2,6), with Melo lasting less than 2 rounds before being stopped in California.
The 23 year old Mongolian, who only began his career this past March, has now raced to 4-0 in a combined 7 rounds and is clearly ready for a step up in class. Hopefully that will come next time out rather than seeing the youngster continue to face opponents who are simply unable to cope with his power.
Although the bout with Melo wasn't televised a portion of footage is available, and shows Nyambayar landing a nasty right hand to drop Melo. The footage may not be the best but it does show just how hard the Mongolian punches.
