South Korean puncher Min Wook Kim (11-1, 8) has been inactive for more than a year though will make his return to the ring tomorrow night in Mexicali when he takes on Mexican foe Lizandro De los Santos (22-12, 9).
Having been out of the ring for a prolonged time it was fair to say we were worried about how Kim would look ahead of the fight and whether he would be forced to change weight, leaving the Light Welterweight division where he once held the OPBF title.
On Friday Kim took to the scales and came in at ready 140lbs for the fight and look in fantastic condition for what is one of the most significant fights of his career. It really a make-or-break bout.
Although Kim will be expected to see off Santos relatively easily we're still excited to see him back in the ring. Hopefully a win will be followed by a swift return to action and by the end of the year the exciting Korean could well regain a lot of his lost career momentum.
Although not the biggest name in the sport Kim is incredibly exciting and if he can regain the form that saw him claim the OPBF title and defend it against the likes of Shinya Iwabuchi, as seen in the video below, then he's going to be a fantastic addition to the rankings at 140lbs.
