Later today Uzbek fringe Lightweight contender Bahodir Mamadjonov (19-2, 11) returns to the ring to battle against the once beaten American Mason Menard (31-1, 23). On paper the bout looks like a favourable one for Menard, who will be seeking a 30th straight win, and extend a winning run that dates back to 2008. However paper isn't the best predictor boxing results and although Menard does come into the bout with him impressive run including a win over the previously unbeaten Eudy Bernardo as well as the experience Oscar Bravo, he is actually the under-dog.
The Uzbek, who has competed at a far higher level than Menard, is priced as a 4/9 favourite to take home the win here and record a third successive victory following his May 2015 loss to the heavy handed Richard Commey. The bout also sees him return to the Lightweight division, following a pair of bouts fought above Light Welterweight limit, and it seems likely that move back down in weight will help the Uzbek.
For those fancying Menard to win, and secure his 30th successive win,is priced as a 4/9 favourite to take home the win he is priced at 7/4 whilst the draw is 22/1.
