Back August we reported that Muhammad Waseem (4-0, 3) would be making his ring return on November 27th to defend his WBC Silver Flyweight title against unbeaten Filipino hopeful Giemel Magramo (17-0, 13). Sadly at the time there was no details, at all, on what would feature in the under-card.
Today however we were made aware of several under-card bouts from the card, including one which features two OPBF ranked fighters and the other is a KBC title bout.
That bout between OPBF ranked fighters sees Japanese based Korean Teiru Atsumi (11-1, 5) [テイル渥美] head back to Korea where he will face Filipino Cristian Abila (15-19-5, 5) in a 10 round bout.
Atsumi, who has fought his last 3 bouts in Japan, is regarded as one of the most exciting and promising Korean's in the sport and is ranked in the top 15 by the OPBF at Featherweight. Despite being promising he is still a relative unknown outside of Japan and Korea and a win here is unlikely to immediately change that, but would move him towards an OPBF title fight, potentially in 2017. Abila on the other hand is a Filipino veteran, despite only being 27, his record is a bit of a mess but he has mixed in good company and is unbeaten in his last 3 bouts, and he also holds an OPBF ranking, albeit at 130lbs.
The KBC title bout will see the 154lb title being contested for. Sadly however we've not been given the names of the participants of this bout. Sadly however it doesn't seem like Kyoo Hwan Hwang (2-0, 2) will be returning to the ring, and he was the last man to hold the title meaning it's not a vacant belt and his career is possibly over despite promising so much excitement
