We all know that the end of December is concentrated with major bouts, but we still some before Christmas. One of those occurs tomorrow when Japanese Lightweight champion Kota Tokunaga (16-2, 11) battles against Kazuhiro Nishitani (15-3-1, 7), in what will be Tokunaga's second defense of the title.
Today the two men weighed in and both made weight for the bout.
Tokunaga was the heavier man, coming in just under the Lightweight limit whilst Nishitani was about 1/2lb lighter, at just under 134.5lbs.
For Tokunaga his weight was as expected and around his usual, whilst Nishitani was actually close to his highest as a professional. Although both looked in good condition it's fair to say that Tokunaga, the natural Lightweight, did look much better than the challenger, who was showing signs of not quite being a natural 135lb fighter.
