Earlier today saw Muto gym hold a press conference to announce an April 16th show at the Sumiyoshi Ward Center in Osaka. The card isn't set to be the strongest show ever but it will be a notable one with the headline bout being the rign return of OPBF Middleweight champion Koki Tyson (11-2-2, 10) [太尊 康輝].
The heavy handed Middleweight, who actually has a world ranking at the moment, upset Dwight Ritchie for the title last yeah and has been inactive since. Today we learned that he will be back to defend his title against against Korean Sung Jae Ahn (6-3, 1), a former KBF Middleweight champion.
The heavy handed Tyson is unbeaten since suffering a defeat to Akio Shibata in November 2015, since then he has claimed the WBC Youth title and OPBF title, though did suffer a set back last July when he was held to a controversial draw against Joon Yong Lee.
Ahn has surprisingly gotten this shot despite a prolong absence from the ring, in fact he's not fought since winning the KBF title in May 2015. He comes into this bout on the back of a 4 fight winning and he has never been stopped, but he has only been 10 rounds once and has shown little power over the course of his career.
Tyson has stated that if he wins here then he'd be looking to move into a world title fight later in the year, though obviously he would be much unfancied against any of the top Middleweights world wide.
