In June 2014 we saw a FOTY contender at the Korakuen Hall as Ardin Diale (29-9-3, 15) took on the then OPBF Flyweight champion Koki Eto in a bout that had everything, including momentum shifts, heart and a come from behind victory. That bout, sadly for Diale, saw him coming up short against Eto despite a sensational effort.
Since then Eto has been lined up for a world title fight, with WBC Super Flyweight champion Carlos Cuadras at the end of November, and has vacated the OPBF title after having made 2 defenses of the title.
The fact Eto vacated has allowed Diale another shot at the title and attempt to build on his 6 fight winning streak, following the loss to Eto.
That shot will come on December 2nd when he faces fellow Filipino Renoel Pael (19-1-1, 9) Although less well known Pael has only loss once, and that was a razor thin one to Thailand's Moknoi Sitthiprasert who continued his insanely long winning run with a split decision over Pale. Since that loss he has won 7 in a row though they have come against very limited opposition.
This bout is pencied in to take place in Metro Manila though at the moment no speciic venue has been nailed down.
