Earlier today Japan's Kohei Kono (29-8, 12) did a public work out ahead of his WBA Super Flyweight title fight with Thailand's Denkaosan Kaovichit (62-3-1, 26) and from the evidence available Kono is ready.
The Japanese fighter, pictured opposite with his trainer, has had a long and hard camp though it's also been an interesting one with him spending time with wrestling star KENTA and also learning to new skills to add to his fighting. Those skills have including developing what he can do in a clinch and also working on his right hand counter shots.
With Kaovichit having fought in Japan before there is plenty of footage out there that has been used to help Kono in his game plan which appears to be near complete and although he's still training hard we do expert him to be tapering down slightly now with the fight being just a few days away.
From what we've read Kono accidentally left his training with a bloody nose earlier today such was aggressiveness and, as his trainer described it, "heat". As long as Kono is hot when he battles Denkaosan we need to favour the Japanese fighter.
