This coming Wednesday fight fans will be able to WBA Minimumweight champion Knockout CP Freshmart (14-0, 6) [น็อคเอาท์ ซีพีเฟรชมาร์ท] defending his title against Japanese challenger Go Odaira (13-5-3, 1) [大平 剛]. For the challenger the bout will be his third world title bout, and will see him attempting to become the first Japanese fighter to win a world title on Thai soil, in what will be his second attempt to achieve that feat, whilst Knockout will be looking to record his second defense of the title.
Although the bout is a mid week contest it's seen as being significant enough for some Western betting companies to price up the contest for gamblers.
Sadly for those gamblers interested there is only one market available, the "To Win" market. And unsurprisingly the unbeaten Knockout is a clear favourite, best priced at 1/19 to retain his title, with a victory, with most other places actually having him at an even less appealing 1/25.
For those interested in backing Odaira he is 10/1 with most bookies, though he can actually be backed at 23/2 with one bookmaker who seems to view the contest as a foregone conclusion.
As for the unlikely draw, that's available at 33/1.
