Earlier today Japanese fans at the Korakuen Hall had the chance to see the debut of promising youngster Kenshin Oshima (1-0, 1) [大嶋 剣心], who kicked things off with an opening round win against Naoto Mizutani (3-2, 1) [水谷 直人].
The youngster, a Teiken promoted fighter, was making his debut in a 5 rounder as a B-Class fighter and showed impressive skills and maturity to see Mizutani in less than 90 seconds.
The fight was high paced from the off with Oshima trying to make an impact from the opening seconds though Mizutani fired back and showed that he wasn't going to be intimidated. Despite Mizutani's attempted fight back he was unable to take the power of Oshima who dropped him hard and forced the referee to stop the action.
The promising youngster is tipped for good things and at 21 years old he has plenty of time on his side and with the backing of Teiken he has a powerful promoter and gym behind him, who will be able to get him opportunities if he continues to show real promise.
