Kazuki Tanaka to take huge step up on December 5th, Yu Kawaguchi to return on same card, Shindo Go also in action!
It's fair to say that Green Tsuda are not one of the most famous gyms in Japan, however they are a well established one which has had involvement in he career's of former world champions and appears to be a gym that remains popular. Recently they announce their next big show, which is set for December 5th at the EDION Arena Osaka.
The card looks to be a stacked one though several bouts really have stood out more than the others.
For us the most intriguing of the bouts sees the much touted Kazuki Tanaka (3-0, 3) take a massive step up in class to face OPBF ranked Filipino Monico Laurente (27-12, 6). The 22 year old Tanaka has been dubbed as being a star of the future though this is a huge step up in class compared to his previous opposition. For Laurente however it's a chance to end a 6 fight losing in Japan, where he has never won during his 39 fight career.
Another notable bout sees former OPBF Bantamweight champion Yu Kawaguchi (23-7, 10) battling against Keisuke Tabuchi (9-3-2, 7). This will be Kawaguchi's first bout since he lost the OPBF title to Takahiro Yamamoto in August, in what was the second meeting between the two men. For the 22 year old Tabuchi this is a tough ask, especially given that he has lost 2 of his last 3 bouts, however he may well be getting Kawaguchi at the right time given the damage that Kawaguchi suffered last time out.
The third bout of note sees former female world champion Shindo Go (15-3, 10) facing off against a yet to be named foe in an 8 rounder. Hopefully Go's opponent will be named shortly though what we do know is that this will be her second bout since she lost the WBC female Flyweight title against Arely Mucino.
