This coming Sunday fans in Osaka will get the chance to see a couple of world title fights. One of those will see IBF Minimumweight champion Katsunari Takayama (29-7-0-1, 11), defending his belt against Ryuji Hara (19-1, 11) in a mouth watering all Japanese bout.
Earlier today, ahead of that bout, Takayama took part in his public training session.
The veteran showed off his shadow boxing and also hit the heavy bag and seemed to be full of energy, though that will come as no surprise to those who have followed Takayama though his career.
Although Takayama had looked poor in a public sparring sessions earlier this month he did look sharp today and it seems as if he's hit his peak pretty much at the perfect time. Saying that however Takayama does still have a bit of weight to lose before the weight, though that weight is expected to come off easily over the next few days.
