At the end of 2016 we'll see an IBF Super Bantamweight title fight between Japanese challenger Yukinori Oguni (18-1-1, 7) [小國 以載] and current world champion Jonathan Guzman (22-0-0-1, 22), who returns to Japan for his second bout in the country.
Today, ahead of their bout, Guzman took part in a public work out and had plenty of fun with the media.
The champion looked incredibly confident, more so than he did when he beat Shingo Wake earlier this year, and he seems to have no nerves at all. The relaxed nature of the champion saw him take part in a long training session that featured a long warm up, time on the heavy bag and mitts as well as some rope skipping, whilst stating he had done 150 rounds to prepare for the bout.
As well as the training Guzman mentioned the loss of his purse last time out, when he lost a huge chunk of his payment for facing Wake, but didn't seem to annoyed knowing that he was set for another decent pay day here, and had fun stabbing a picture of Oguni with a sword.
