On Saturday in the Philippines fans will vet the chance to see an intriguing card with a trio of title bouts. One of those bouts, arguably the most interesting on paper, will see unbeaten Filipino puncher Jheritz Chavez (4-0-2, 3) face off against Tatsuya Yanagi (11-2, 4) in a bout for the vacant WBC Eurasia Pacific Boxing Council Lightweight title.
The two men made weight earlier today and looked in great shape whilst posing with the title belt that the will be trading shots over.
Coming in to this bout Chavez has won back-to-back fights to extend his unbeaten record to 7 fights Yanagi on the other hand comes in tot he bout following a win over Toru Suzuki, though has lost 2 of his last 3 bouts.
Whilst the bout might not be a big one as such it's fair to say that the winner will be moved up the OPBF rankings and could find themselves moving towards another big fight.
