This weekend is a busy one with a lot of fights taking place, a number of which have caught the eye of bookies. One such bout is the 10 round clash between world ranked Filipino Jason Pagara (37-2, 23) and former "interim" world title challenger Miguel Zamudio (35-8-1, 21).
Sadly for those who perhaps are looking at this bout as a chance to make some money the odds really don't provide much in terms of a gambling opportunity with Pagara backed as a pretty clear favourite, at 1/9 to win. The Filipino is the naturally bigger and naturally stronger fighter and will be risking a WBO world ranking at 140lbs. If he loses then that will be the end of his dreams of getting a world title fight.
Zamudio, the under-dog, is widely available between 6/1 and 5/1, and although better known by some fans he is most notable for suffering a vicious KO to the hands of Javier Fortuna, in a bout made at 126lbs back in 2014. Since that loss he has gone 10-6, with 5 loses by stoppage, and it seems like this should be another KO loss for the Mexican.
