Earlier today in Tokyo the JPBA, headed by Hideyuki Ohashi, handed over a sizable donation to the Nepalese ambassador to try and help in the wake of the recent earthquake disaster that has destroyed parts of Nepal, taken the lives of several thousand and left families and communities in tatters.
The donation was handed over at the Nepal embassy in Japan and saw the ambassador and Mr Ohashi enjoying a conversation regarding sport in Nepal. The ambassador was quoted as saying that the most popular sports in Nepal were cricket, boxing and kick boxing whilst Mr Ohashi offered an invitation to the ambassador to watch a world title bout.
Although the event wasn't set up to talk about boxing, and was more to share the charitable donation, it doesn't seem out of the question that a special show could be helpd with further proceeds being donated to the cause.
