Tomorrow Japanese fans in Tokyo will get the chance to see former WBC Flyweight champion Toshiyuki Igarashi (21-2-2, 11) [五十嵐 俊幸] battle against Filipino opponent Joel Taduran (7-2-1, 1).
Today those two men weighed in for the bout, which is being fought over the 10 round distance at a contracted 113lbs.
On the scales Igarashi was bang on the limit at 113lbs, the lowest weight he's been since his 2013 loss to Akira Yaegashi, in a bout that saw Igarashi lose his title to the Ohashi fighter.
Notably Taduran came in at 110¾lbs, a career highest weight. Whilst it's a career highest he didn't look particularly bad at the weigh in and seems to know that this is the most significant bout of his career.
