Tomorrow Japanese fight fans will get the chance to see super-talent Hinata Maruta (4-0, 3) [丸田 陽七太], defending his WBC Youth Bantamweight title for the second time, as he takes on Indonesian foe Hamson Tiger Lamandau (8-0, 5). Today the two men took part in their weigh in for the bout, and both men came in under the 118lb weight limit.
Maruta came in at around 117.75lbs, comfortably under the divisional limit, and looked in great shape whilst also towering over the Indonesian fighter. The talented youngster looked confident and seemed comfortably with a gameplan of boxing at range and using his physical advantages, as well as his kills.
Lamandau was amazingly closer to the Super Flyweight limit than the Bantamweight limit, coming in at 115.5lbs, a massive way under the limit. Despite being dwarfed he was confident and seemed to feel that his boxing will be too good for Maruta, with the visitor stating that his intent was to take the title back to Indonesia.
For fans outside of Japan the bout will be featured on boxingraise.com and will be available on demand, though it won't be aired live on the subscription service.
