This coming Saturday we see Japanese fighter Kazuki Hashimoto (11-4, 7) go for the biggest win of his career so far, as he takes on former multi-weight world champion Jhonny Gonzalez (57-9, 38). Sadly Hashimoto has been effectively given no chance by fans and bookies alike.
The little known Japanese fighter has been priced at 25/1 with some UK bookies, whilst others have offered 20/1 on what would be one of the biggest upsets of the year. Gonzalez, the massive favourite, is priced as a terrible 1/200 to win, meaning you would need to place $200 to win $1, a pitiful return.
Although the clear under-dog Hashimoto hasn't traveled with the intention of just picking up another loss and although he's expected to swatted aside he will, almost certainly, try and take the advantage of a huge opportunity against a fighter who hasn't looked great in recent bouts.
