Tomorrow fight fans will get the chance to see the unbeaten WBA/WBC/IBF/IBO Middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (35-0, 32) face off with unbeaten IBF Welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25) in their anticipated Middleweight title bout.
Today the two men took part in the weigh in for the bout, with both men making weight and having room to spare.
Golovkin, who has been rumoured to be suffering from illness over the past couple of days, came in under the weight, as he usually does, and was actually under 159lbs having plenty of room to spare ahead of the fight. It's the 11th fight in a row where he has come in between 158¾lbs and 159¾lbs showing how consistent he is in that range.
Brook on the other hand came in at a career high weight, just under 159½lbs. The weight is about 13lbs heavier than he was last time out, when he blitzed the hapless Kevin Bizier in 2 rounds, and some 4lbs heavier than his previous career high, which was more than 8 year ago. Despite the huge weight increase Brook looked in solid shape and appeared confident ahead of the biggest bout of his career.
