On August 7th we'll get the chance to see Fuko Komura [小村楓香] make her professional debut on the under-card of the excellent match up between Kazuki Tanaka (5-0, 4) [田中 一樹] and Hideo Sakamoto (16-2-3, 5) [坂本 英生], a bout that really is mouth watering and potentially a real battle.
Today, ahead of her debut, Komura took part in a public practice session that saw her impress the media and also announce a new sponsorship deal, with the teenager now being sponsored by Legend Power Co., Ltd who have said they will help her achieve her aims of becoming a world champion.
The talented, and promising, Komura will have her bout shown, albeit on tape delay, on the boxingraise service in August and from all the noise being made in Japan from those close to the fighter she looks likely to be a star in the making.
Although footage hasn't yet been released we are aware that she spent time at her work out doing a 3 rounds spar and impressing with her footwork, speed, timing and technique, all of which are likely to help her rise to the top of the sport, along with a straong team, strong sponsorship and the genuine belief that she is a very special fighter in the making.
