Earlier today Mutoh Gym held a press conference which saw them announce their next show, set for April 17th, they also announced that one of their most notable fighters, former world title challenger Hirofumu Mukai (11-4-2, 1) [向井寛史], would be in action on March 20th.
Mukai, who has twice fought for world titles, will be facing a Korean opponent, who's name we haven't yet been given, on the under-card of the second professional bout of Hinata Murata (1-0) [丸田 陽七太] at the Satsukiyama Gym, in Osaka.
We know that the bout is that it will be scheduled for 8 rounds and will act as the chief support bout to Maruta's contest. Interesting this announcement does give us a feeling that Maruta's opponent will announce shortly as Morioka continue to put the card together around their star fighter.
This will be Mukai's first bout since he was stopped, late last year, by Shohei Omori in a Japanese title fight last September.
