We had known for a while that Thailand's hard hitting Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (27-3-1, 25) was going to travel to Mexico for the next defence of his WBC Super Flyweight world title we weren't sure, until very recently, on the specifics of the bout.
What we had known was that Srisaket would be fighting mandatory challenger Carlos Cuadras (29-0, 24) in what we anticipate will be a fight of the year contender. Now what we know is that the bout will take place at the end of May, May 31st, and will be in Mexico City.
The bout, promoted by Teiken, hasn't yet got a specific venue named for it though with Mexico City being boxing mad their should be plenty of venues that are happy to host such an exciting looking contest.
As far as the TV goes we expect a Mexican channel to show it live and we also hope that it's picked up by one of the Thai channels to be shown live.
We're assuming more details will be released shortly but for ow we're glad to have a date and have the bout confirmed as it's one we are genuinely looking forward to.
