The Asian boxing scene certainly isn't littered with Heavyweight fighters. There are a few notable names, such as Ruslan Chagaev, Kyotaro Fujimoto, Zhang Zhilei and Taishan Dong, but there really isn't many of them.
The latest addition is set to be 6'4" Filipino Stan Surmacz Ahumada (0-0) who is penciled in to make his professional in Canada on September 11th at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton.
At the moment the full details of Ahumada's debut, such as opponent, aren't known though we have heard some Filipino fans show some optimistic excitement about the fighter, who we believe is based in Canada.
Unfortunately little is really known about the fighter who has recently signed with Canadian promotional outfit K.O. Boxing though we suspect that they will be looking to see how Ahumada fares in his debut before really risking what could be a very shrewd signing.
