This coming weekend is, lets be honest, a bit hectic with bouts all over the globe. In Cotabato del Sur, Philippines, fight fans will get the chance to see two regional title bouts between locals and Thai visitors, today, ahead of those bouts, the fighters took part in their weigh ins.
One of those bouts will see Romero Duno (10-1, 9) face former OPBF Featherweight title challenger Maxsaisai Sithsaithong (16-8, 5) for the WBC Asian Boxing Council Super Featherweight title. On the scales both these men were 129lbs. The weigh is pretty much a standard for Duno in recent bouts with the Filipino being a fully fledged Super Featherweight, though he has been as low as 123lbs in his career. For Sithsaithong, who boxrec now list by his birth name of Paiboon Lorkam, the weight is one of the heaviest of his career and he has been as low as Flyweight early in his career.
The other title bout sees the unbeaten Reymart Gaballo (14-0, 12) battle with Yodpichai Sithsaithong (12-13, 6) for the WBC Asian Boxing Council Super Bantamweight title. Strangely both of these men came in very light for the division at 119lbs For the 20 year odl gaballo the weight is tied with his heaviest, though he is clearly not a fully fledged Super Bantamweight. For the Thai, who boxrec list as Maot Comput, the weight is lighter than he has been in recent contests, including a loss to Takuya Watanabe in Korea, but no where near his lowest.
