One of the many world title bouts this coming weekend will see WBO Super Bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire (37-3, 24) battling against the unbeaten Jessie Magdaleno (23-0, 17), with Donaire seeking the second defense of his title.
Whilst many view donaire as being past his prime the bookies do actually favour the champion to win, with odds of 8/13, suggesting that whilst he is the favourite it's a pretty event bout with enough question marks about both men to view the bout as relatively even. As for Magdaleno he is priced as a live under-dog at 7/4 to win. The draw can be got at 28/1, if people look around.
The most likely single outcome appears to be Donaire by stoppage, with bookies pricing the outcome at 7/4, only narrowly ahead of both Donaire by decision and Magdaleno by stoppage, both available at 5/2. The least likely outcome is Magdaleno by decision, which can be backed at 6/1 with some bookies.
Interestingly the odds on the bout going the distance are really interesting with a price of 4/6 on the bout not reaching the final bell, and 11/10 on it completing the scheduled 12 rounds.
