Last year we saw Chaoz Minowa (3-0, 2) [チャオズ箕輪] claim the OPBF female Flyweight title, the first title of her short professional boxing career.
Today Minowa was given a special award by the mayor of Utsunomiya City, in Tochigi Prefecture in recognition to her ability and her growing significance in professional boxing.
Although Minowa was there to recieve the award the even was certainly not the most serious of meetings with the fighter and the mayor both discussing the local speciality food, dumplings, and utensils being presented at the ceremony.
At the moment there is no set date for Minowa's next bout but it seems clear that she's looking to make a major mark on female boxing and again stated that she was hoping to become a 9-weight champion, and it sounds like she will be getting up through the weight due to Utsunomiya's dumplings!.
