Earlier today we were informed that Thailand's Chalermpol Singwancha (12-0, 10) would be defending his Asian Boxing Federation Welterweight title on May 29th.
The heavy handed, and heavily tattooed, Chalermpol will be facing an Italian foe in the bout. Whilst we need to admit we're unsure how an Italian can be eligible for an ABF it foes seem unlikely that that Italian will be a notable opponent and it's more likely to be another "easy" bout for the former Muay Thai fighter.
At the moment we've not received details on the under-card of this bout though we do know that the show will be aired on Channel 11 from 14:00 local time and will be staged in Nakhon Pathom.
Coming into this bout Chalermpol will be seeking to continue his KO run which current stands at 4 straight KO's following back-to-back decision wins over Dan Nazareno Jr and Amor Tino. Hopefully a win will lead to interesting bouts against someone like Keita Obara or Teerachai Kratingdaenggym, though we suspect Chalermpol's team have no intention of pursuing either of those possible match ups.
