The month of March has been a good one for boxing fans with a host of memorable contests through the month and more than our typical month worths of action, upsets and surprises. Thankfully though the month isn't over and during the last week Boxingraise officially confirmed that they would be includeing "Art of Boxing 4" on their service, giving us a chance to see the next Morioka promoted card.
The card, which takes place this coming Sunday, had long been rumoured as a show that would be featured on Boxingraise but as the show approached their had been no official word with Dangan not listing anything between the March 22nd "Overheat Boxer's Night 80", which was featured live, and the March 28th card "The Kanmuriwashi fight 53 / DANGAN 177" show.
Thankfully during the week they did add the Art of Boxing card to their planned events.
Whilst the card isn't a big one it is one with significance as it features the next bout of super-touted teenage sensation Hinata Maruta (4-0, 3) [丸田 陽七太], who defends his WBC Youth Bantamweight title against Indonesian foe Hamson Tiger Lamandau (8-0, 5). The bout is likely to be Maruta's final bout before he heads up to fighting for more senior titles, with both the OPBF and Japanese titles likely to be on his radar for later in the year.
As well as Maruta bouts will also feature Brandon Lockhart Shane (7-5-1, 6) up against a Thai visitor and an intriguing match up between talented teenager Naoto Iwai (3-0, 1) [岩井 尚斗] and Ryosuke Nasu (6-2-2,1) [那須亮祐].
For fans interested in the show it will be featured as a tape delay broadcast and be added to the service in the hours following the show.
