We are now less than a week away from the highly anticipated WBC Bantamweight title bout between unbeaten champion Shinsuke Yamanaka (23-0-2, 17) and slippery Panamanian Anselmo Moreno (35-3-1, 12). With the fight closing in on us we've began to hear more and more talk from both who are doing their best to add even more anticipation to what is a genuinely brilliant match up.
At a press conference yesterday Moreno described himself as having the "eye of God", using the Spanish "Ojos de Dios". The term was to poke fun as Yamanaka who's nickname is literally translated as "God of Left", from the term "goddorefuto".
Moreno seemed to state what we all already knew and that he was hard to hit, though he did confess he had been dropped twice as a professional, citing that one of those was due bad foot placement and a slip.
Yamanaka also stated that he wanted to win a WBC world title for his father-in-law, who just so happens to be the great Lightweight Ismael Laguna. Though he did state that he would offer Yamanaka a chance to regain his title once he beat him.
