Tomorrow fans at the Korakuen Hall get the chance to see the next Ohashi promoted card. Although the main event is a Japanese title bout there is a number of well known names on the under-card, including former 2-weight world champion Akira Yaegashi (21-5, 11), who will be facing Indonesian fighter Said M Said (2-2, 1).
Today the men took part in their weigh in and both scaled 112lbs, marginally inside the contracted limit which was just over the Flyweight limit.
For Said this is the first actual recorded weight that we have. For Yaegashi however this sees him returning as a Flyweight for the first time since his loss to Roman Gonzalez last September. It should be noted that he was 115lbs last time out, when he stopped Songseanglek Phosuwangym and was way down at 107½lbs for last December's bout against Pedro Guevara, suggesting that he's not yet decided where his future lies.
Although a mismatch on paper this is set the be the show's chief support bout and is scheduled for 10 rounds.
