In some countries strict rules apply on the ages of professional fighters, of course other countries have a more lax approach to things with Thailand being notoriously light on the rules and regulations. As a result of Thailand being the "wild west" of boxing we've seen numerous young fighters head out there to begin their career.
One such fight is 15 year old Kazusa Arai (2-0, 2) who debuted this past April with a second round TKO win.
Arai return to the ring earlier today on a Thai under-card and continued his perfect start with an opening round stoppage over a very poor opponent who turned his back on the youngster.
Prior to the stoppage Arai was tagged himself by a counter right hand but quickly recovered and forced his Thai foe on to the retreat with the stoppage coming soon afterwards.
We admit the bout wasn't anything special but it does appear that Aria has potential and given his age he may well become the next fighter to challenge Hiroki Ioka's long standing Japanese record.
