Earlier today Green Tsuda held a press conference which announced that they had signed Ryuto Kyoguchi (13-1-1, 9) [京口竜人], who had transferred from Osaka Teiken.
The news might not register for some outside of Japan but it is big news on the Japanese scene with Kyoguchi once being a hyped prospect, and a former Rookie of the Year, but later becoming a disgraced fighter.
Kyoguchi, who's younger brother Hiroto Kyoguchi is a promising fighter at the Watanabe gym, debuted back in 2010. In 2011 he won the Rookie of the Year at Featherweight and started fighting against still competition in 2013 with the media in Osaka dubbing him Tatsuyoshi II, after Joichiro Tatsuyoshi.
His career however went off the rails in 2015 when he lost to Kosuke Saka and was later arrested for assaulting someone outside of the ring. As a result of the assault he was forced to pay a fine for injuring the victim and has promised to turn over another leaf with Green Tsuda expected to keep a tight reign on him.
Although his comeback hasn't been officially announced it seems like he is on his last chance and reports are that Osaka Teiken were glad to see him transferring away, despite the fact the gym is currently struggling for notable fighters.
