There are several dates on the boxing calendar we mark every year, such as New Year's Eve and the weekends around May 5th September 16th. For a while it also looked like March 3rd was going to be on such date as Japanese boxing began to put on annual female cards to coincide with Hinamatsuri festival, or "Dolls Day". Sadly it does appear that these shows ended a few years ago but they were a great idea of having a female only card on what is essentially a day for girls to celebrate. The poster here shows 2013 edition of the show, under the "G Legend" banner, and features a who's who of Japanese female boxing, including Momo Koseki, Etsuko Tada, Naoko Shibata, Yuko Kuroki, Saemi Hanagata and Kumko Seeser Ikehara. Whilst it is a busy poster it made everything very clear, and showed just how much talent was on the show. It really is a shame these shows haven't continued into the last few years.
Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
