On October 7th fight fans in Hong Kong get a potential FOTY candidate as former 2-time Super Flyweight world champion Kohei Kono takes on local star Rex Tso in a bout that has the potential to be something very memorable. The bout headlines DEF HK's "Clash of Champions 3" and is clearly the selling point of the show, with the fight serving as a potential world title eliminator and as possibly the biggest boxing bout in Hong Kong's history. The poster, or in this case banner, does a good job of selling the show, it's not perfect, but it does do the job well.
On March 11th Hong Kong fans get the chance to see local star Rex Tso take on former world title challenger Hirofumi Mukai. The poster is a simple one with just two two fighters and the details of the show, along with the DEF Promotion branding. It's a simple poster that allowed the fight to sell the fight, but it is a little bit too simple.
Sadly sometimes we don't come across posters in a timely fashion, that means that we've only just come across the poster for "Clash of Champions", the show that is headlined by Hong's Kong's Rex Tso facing former world title challenger Young Gil Bae. The poster those two men, along with Ryota Murata, and the Hong Kong skyline. It's a simple and info heavy poster, but a pretty decent one.
Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
