About 2 weeks before Dangan 178 took place the shower under-went some drastic changes, pulling the main event from the card. As a result there was a second poster created, with the key fingure changing from Ken Shiro, who removed himself from the show, to Shota Kawaguchi. The change has left the poster being "upto date" but also very dull and empty. It was a needed change, but in all honestly not one that really looks great.
This coming Sunday in Osaka fight fans get the chance to see the next in the Dangan cards, a rare foray away from the Korakuen Hall for the popular serious of shows. The shows isn't the strongest card, an issue with Ken Shiro pulling out of the card only weeks before the event, but it's not terrible either. Sadly the poster is pretty much focused around the former Japanese Light Flyweight king pin. Other fighters are on the poster but the central figure isn't, any more.
Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
