On February 27th action returns to Almaty, Kazakhstan for an MTK show headlined by the fast rising Kazakh Cruiserweight Kamshybek Kunkabayev, who takes on Northern Irish fighter Steven Ward in a bout for the WBO Asia Pacific Cruiserweight title, which hasn't been fought for in well 2 and a half years. The poster for the show is a pretty basic one, though that's not a bad thing. Just basic but effective.
On January 30th M&R Boxing Promotions will host their next card in Miami. The card isn't an Asian one, but it does feature a number of Asian fighters, including Filipino slugger James Bacon who is on the poster for the show, alongside Mekhrubon Sanginov, Kozimbek Mardonov and Fazliddin Meliboev. The poster does a good job at featuring some of the fighters involved on the show, and has some eye catching details to it, though on the whole we're not a huge fan of this one, and we do wonder who signed off on using that Ismael Barroso picture, poor guy looks like he's about to cry.
On October 17th M&R Promotions will be putting on a show in Miami, Florida. Although not a big show it does feature several Filipino fighters on it, including Mark Bernaldez and Jameson Bacon. The poster for the show features the two Filipino fighters but is a rather basic and simple design. A clear but dull poster.
On March 9th in Cebu City fight Filipino fight fans will have the chance to catch two WBF title fights. Whilst the titles might be a farce the bouts aren't terrible and will include a fantastic match up between Rey Caitom and ArAr Andales, for the WBF "world" title. Sadly the poster is a poor one, and does from both a looks point of view, and a logical stand point, with the poster seemingly suggesting that the main event is for a lesser title than the other bout. A very odd poster. It's not terrible, but is isn't great either.
Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
