On February 20th fight fans in Binan City, Laguna, in the Philippines will get the next show from Elorde International Productions. The show is a title double header and features two very interesting all-Filipino bouts, with Vic Saludar clashing with Robert Paradero in the main event event and a chief support that'll see Alphoe Dagayloan take on Bienvenido Ligas.
The poster is a pretty standard one, but does when, where and who will be involved. Though we are curious as to whether the show will really take place from 8am to 11PM....
The Covid19 epidemic has hit boxing hard worldwide, though it's arguably been Filipino boxing that it's hit the hardest, forcing the closure of ALA Boxing and the shows that have ran so far have all been very small shows, focused on keeping prospects ticking over rather than progressing anyone's career. On February 20th it seems that is likely to change as Elorde host their next show under the "Night of Champions" banner. The headline bout here will be Vic Saludar battling against Robert Paradero.
Although not a full poster image, the headline bout does have a poster design already set, and although it's a big fight we're somewhat underwhelmed by this promotional image if we're being totally honest. Just a bit unexciting for what is set to be a rather big show for Filipino boxing. It feels like they could, and should, have done more.
Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
