Last month we shared a poster for the upcoming Victoriva Vol 5 card which featured just Ayaka Miyao, who will be competing for the WBA Atomweight title on the card. Today we were sent a second poster for the show, which sells on the the fact that the card will feature not only the WBA Atomweight title fight with Miyao, but also an IBF Atomweight title fight, between Saemi Hanagata and Nao Ikeyama, but also a JBC Atomweight title fight, pitting Eri Matsuda against Mont Blanc Miki. The only fighter involved in a title fight but not on the poster is Miyao's opponent Monseratt Alcaron. Compared to the Miyao only poster we don't think this is quite as eye catching, but certainly sells the overall show better.
The Victoriva cards are some of the most interesting Japan, with the cards being showcases of female boxing. They aren't card which will get much attention from a mainstream western audience, but for what they are they provide a great chance for female fighters to shine. The next Victoriva card, set for for September 12th, will see Ayaka Miyao headlining the card and she really is the star of the poster, being featured by herself, in what is a rather peculiar choice. The card will feature two world title bouts, but this poster only features one of the fighters involved in those title bouts. With that in mind we wouldn't be surprised to see a revision done closer to fight night to sell the show, not just Miyao.
Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
