One problem that some boxing posters have is over complicating things. Here we get a design that keeps things simple. It features the fighters in the main event. Their names, the belt they are fighting for, the promoter of the event, and when and where they are fighting. It's a little text heavy, but it's simple design, it's a design that is timeless and it's one that works. A splash more of colour might have helped, but this is simple and it works so, so well for the show they are promoting.
On May 2nd we'll get get a KBM Lightweight title bout from the Won Boxing Stadium, on a show promoted by The Won Promotions. Sadly the poster is about as basic, as it gets .It's black and white, text heavy and only features a pretty general photo. A really underwhelming poster that we dare say is trying to be artistic but just fails to works. Korean boxing posters needs to be eye catching, and this really doesn't do what it needs to.
Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
