It's always great to have true inter-continental fights and this Friday guys us a great one Kohei Oba, the Japanese Bantamweight champion battles unbeaten American Randy Caballero in an IBF world title eliminator. The bout it's is brilliant the sort of thing that boxing needs to give us more of. Both men will know that a win will give them the opportunity of a life time and as a result we expect something special.
As for the poster however we get "wild west" feel from it, almost as if the poster should have "Wanted" written at the bottom. It's not awful as such but it doesn't seem to reflect the significance of the bout at hand and in all honesty we are a bit disappointed by the end product. Thankfully however with such a great main event it's hard to complain too much and the main fight along should draw in boxing fans even though the promotional poster is weak.
Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
