It seems that since we first started doing this part of the website more and more shows have been having multiple posters designed. By now we're starting to think that a fight isn't big unless it has more than 1 poster created for it.
The next show with 2 posters is the upcoming "Diamond Glove Special". The first poster features the 3 highlight fights which see Akira Yaegashi fighting Edgar Sosa, Naoya Inoue fighting Jerson Mancio and Ryota Murata fighting Dave Peterson are featured on the poster above.
In terms of the poster it's one that is clearly showing the Japanese fighters and the flag. It's, lets be honest, a Japanese poster to highlight the top 3 Japanese fighters on the show. All 3 fight fight foreign fighters and all three are hoping that a victory can see them progressing on to bigger and better fights
Whilst we all understand the logic behind putting the three main fights on a poster what is a little more surprisingly is that the debuting Takuma Inoue, the younger brother of Naoya Inoue, gets his own poster.
We've got to admit we find this one pretty interesting. It's obvious that Ohashi gym are hyping up their fighter and with good reason but still it seems odd to give a debutant a whole poster just for themselves. Then again if Takuma is as good as hyped he'll be fronting a lot more posters before his career is over.
As well as the two posters which are actually being used, there was also this original poster type thing that Ohashi gym put out. This just features the three Oashi fighters, Akira Yaegashi, Naoya Inoue and Takuma Inoue as well as the pricing, and the fights of of Naoya and Yaegashi.
This is the poster being used by Ohahsi Gym for the up coming "45th Phoenix Battle". It's main even features Ryoichi Taguchi v Naoya Inoue with Taguchi defending the Japanese Light Flyweight title.
Despite being the challenger Inoue has clearly taken the lead billing in the poster.
As the poster says this will be taking place on August 25th.
Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
