The second episode of the Ultimate Boxing Series: Kamaong Pinoy series was aired on ESPN and focused on their Flyweight tournament, shining a light on the 112lb division, which alongside the Bantamweight division is one of the focuses on the Ultimate Boxing Series.

We are big fans of tournaments in boxing, and the latest is the Ultimate Boxing Series: Kamaong Pinoy organised by Gerry Penalosa's promotional company in association with ESPN 5. The tournament began a little whilst ago and is having regular TV segments aired. Here is part 1 of the TV series, which ESPN5 aired not too long ago. July 13th 2019-RCC Boxing Academy, Ekaterinburg, Russia Erzhan Turgumbekov (6-0, 2) vs Javokhirbek Karimov (2-0, 2) This past weekend Russian based Kyrgyzstan fighter Erzhan Turgumbekov took on Turkish based Uzbek Javokhirbek Karimov in Russia July 13th 2019-RCC Boxing Academy, Ekaterinburg, Russia Asror Vokhidov (3-0, 1) vs Murad Rabadanov (3-2, 1) This past Saturday unbeaten Tajik fighter Asror Vokhidov took on Russian foe Murad Rabadanov. . Although he has only really began his professional career Vokhidov was a decent amateur and actually battled Naoya Inoue as an amateur, in the semi-final of the Asian Olympic Qualifiers back in 2012. July 13th 2019-RCC Boxing Academy, Ekaterinburg, Russia Jhon Gemino (20-11-1, 10) Vs Muhammadkhuja Yaqubov (13-0, 8) This past Saturday in Russia Filipino fighter Jhon Gemino faced off with the very promising Tajiki fighter Muhammadkhuja Yaqubov July 20th 2009-Yangnam Spa, Ulsan, South Korea Jung Hoon Kim (7-6, 4) vs Jong Min Jung (1-1) In 2009 Jung Hoon Kim and Jong Min Jung faced off in a Korean title eliminator, over 6 rounds in Ulsan. July 20th 2009-Yangnam Spa, Ulsan, South Korea Gun Lee (2-0) vs Kyung Yul Jung (8-1, 2) Back in the summer of 2009 the then unbeaten Gun Lee and the once beaten Kyung Yul Jung battled in a Korea title eliminator. December 17th 2006-Chungmu Art Hall, Seoul, South Korea Byung Joo Moon (5-5, 4) vs Hee Jae Cho (8-1, 4) Back in 2006 Korean fight fans Byung Joo Moon challenge the then Korean Super Featherweight champion Hee Jae Cho, in the chief support bout to one of the biggest cards in Korea in the 21st century. Interestingly less than 2 years after this bout Moon would go on to face the then OPBF champion Takashi Uchiyama. |
