July 29th 2015- Loei, Thailand Stamp Kiatniwat (13-0, 6) Vs Gregorio Lebron (13-2, 11) The WBA "interim" title has become a bit of a joke in recent years with interim title fights popping up far too regularly. We got another of those recently as unbeaten Thai teenager Stamp Kiatniwat took on Dominican slugger Gregorio Lebron in a bout for "interim" Flyweight title. (Video courtesy of tko.in.th) July 27th 2015- Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Akihiro Kondo (21-6-1, 10) v Patomsuk Pathompothong (30-3-1, 19) Earlier this year fans saw Thailand's Patomsuk Pathompothong fight in an IBF Light Welterweight eliminator with China's Ik Yang. The Thai was stopped in that bout by the Chinese Wildman but had managed to notch a win since. Earlier this week the Thai traveled to Japan to battle the teak tough Akihiro Kondo, a former Japanese title holder at Lightweight. One of those bouts saw her battle against the highly regarded Arely Mucino and really show how dangerous she is around the world level and also how unlucky she's been in some fights. April 26th 2014- Foro Polanco Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico Tenkai Tsunami (20-9, 19) Vs Jessica Chavez (19-3-3, 4) II When it comes to records we have the feeling that Tenkai Tsunami has one of the worst records of any "world class" fighter, she has however given competitive bouts to some of the very best, including this 2014 clash with Jessica "Kika" Chavez. The bout shows just how good Tsunami is and why she has maintained world rankings despite picking up frequent losses in the last few years.
