September 12th 2009-Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico Rodel Mayol (25-3-1, 19) vs Ivan Calderon (32-0-1, 6) II Just 3 months after Filipino fighter Rodel Mayol and Puerto Rican boxing genius Ivan Calderon fought to a technical draw the two men faced off again, with Mayol again looking to try and claim the WBO Light Flyweight title that Calderon held. One of the biggest came in a WBC Light Flyweight title bout between Filipino Rodel Mayol, the defending champion, and Omar Nino Romero. October 10th 2019-Ulan-Ude, Russia Dina Islambekova vs Flavia Severin At the AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships 2019 in Russia last year fans saw Kazakh Dina Islambekova take on Italian Flavia Severin, with the two battling for a medal position. September 24th 2007-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Kuniyuki Aizawa (13-1-1, 10) vs Alexander Munoz (30-2, 27) In September 2007 Japan's Kuniyuki Aizawa [相澤国之] became the 6th Japanese opponent of Venezuelan Alexander Munoz, who had gone 5-0 against Japanese opponents prior to this bout. Not only did Munoz love beating Japanese opponents but he entered this bout seeking his first defense of his second reign as the WBA Super Flyweight champion. April 9th 2007-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Akifumi Shimoda (14-1, 8) vs Daisuke Yamanaka (20-2, 14) I In Spring 2007 future world champion Akifumi Shimoda [下田昭文] had his first title bout, as he challenged the then Japanese Super Bantamweight champion Daisuke Yamanaka [山中大輔] February 12th 2007-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Kohei Kono (17-3, 7) vs Teppei Kikui (21-4, 4) III In 2007 Kohei Kono [河野公平] challenged Japanese Super Flyweight champion Teppei Kikui [菊井徹平], in what was a rubber match between the two men. July 24th 2004-Marriott Hotel, Seoul, South Korea In Jin Chi (28-2-1, 17) vs Eiichi Sugama (26-3-1, 19) In 2004 Korean tough guy In Jin Chi [지인진] won the WBC Featherweight title in the UK, beating Michael Brodie in the second bout between the two men.
